I guess you could say the very heart of Wedgewood Estates is socialization. Everything at Wedgewood revolves around social affairs, even the way our building is designed. The center, outside of every private suite, is a living room (parlor) area where family and friends can gather when visiting. We always love to see residents become friends and enjoying each other's company in our parlor areas.

We also have strategically placed in each wing a family kitchen. This is a warm and inviting place for family or friends to enjoy a casual meal or get together privately.

Our centrally located community room is a hub of social activity. During the day, you can find residents exercising, playing BINGO, eating, having a party, or enjoying musical entertainment. This room may get used 4 times a day.

Other rooms designed for socialization include our ice cream parlor, formal living and dining room, and even our beauty shop. Our Manor House residents also have the opportunity to visit with their friends at breakfast, lunch, and dinner in one of their 2 resident dining rooms.

As we age, even though most won't develop Alzheimer's Disease, many will experience some form of cognitive decline. One of the ways to stay sharp mentally is through socialization.
