Since opening in 1997, we've been working persistently to maintain a culture of care at Wedgewood Estates in Mansfield. We endeavor to tailor-meet the needs of every single resident. Prior to moving in, everyone is assessed by our Director of Nursing to better understand and find the best approach that will guarantee the care they need and deserve.

 Our culture of care begins and ends with family. Wedgewood Estates has been family owned and operated by the Casto family for over 27 years. We're the only family owned and operated assisted living in the area. Wedgewood Estates is also the first assisted living facility in Mansfield and one of the first in the state of Ohio. We’re also the only assisted living in the area that has never changed hands or been sold to a corporation.

 Our culture of care includes an amazing social affairs program. We practice enriching the lives of our residents on a daily bases through exercise, musical entertainment, special dining experiences outside of Wedgewood and other quality activities throughout the month. BINGO and music therapy are just 2 of the more popular activities you will find on a weekly basis on our calendar of activities.

 Our culture of care continues with Dining Services. Dining Services is responsible for providing 3 meals a day, seven days a week. In addition, Dining Services provides food for community events, food-related activities, parties, birthdays and anniversaries, and so much more.   

 When creating a culture of care, cleanliness is important. We have a team of housekeepers that work very hard at keeping Wedgewood consistently clean. They are responsible for cleaning the common areas of our assisted living Manor House, 52 assisted living suites, and 50 independent living Garden Home Condominiums. It’s a common practice to hear complements about the cleanliness of Wedgewood.  

 Part of our culture of care includes maintenance-free living. We couldn’t offer maintenance-free living without a superior maintenance staff. We are so blessed with a maintenance supervisor who has been working at Wedgewood for close to 20 years.

I think you would be hard pressed to find a better care team of Companions and nurses that give the care our staff provides. We can rely and depend on our nurses and companions. This means we trust them. They care for each resident as if they are family. There would be no better staff in this area you could trust more with your loved one. They are an important part of the culture of care that makes Wedgewood Estates the premier senior residential community.
